‘Painting is inherent for me, it’s a life-force and an embodied experience. I feel fortunate to live so close to nature – the elements are a constant presence, colliding weather, the surrounding hills, the harbour activity and the sea. Wellington is beautiful and uncomfortable – a perfectly stimulating and contradictory place to immerse myself in my practice.’
