Humans are always straining and leaning into the future.
Yet the majority of our lives are spent in the getting there, rather than the being there.
The paintings in this show have been inspired by these in-between moments.
Waiting on Harvey street for the bus to come, getting up in the dark with my two year old and watching daylight arrive.
I find these moments strangely ambiguous.
They are the quieter times, of which we rarely speak, but that make up so much of our lives.
