‘The most recent paintings for this exhibition are a series of works on paper based on Wellington’s South Coast.

They seem appropriate for my last show at Bowen with Jenny at the helm as they’re inspired by a day out walking with her on this most remarkable piece of coastline where the weather always seems changeable and larger than life and which seems to encapsulate the changes happening at the gallery.
Together with the other paintings in the show they all reflect our place in the world and our journey through it. The impact our environment has on us, the figure in the painting (& the impact we have on it).’
