Jeff Brown’s first exhibition with Bowen Galleries was in 1984, a group show with his fellow Wellington City Art Gallery technician’s, Shane Wallace & Dave Thompson. Solo shows followed in 1985-6. In 1987 with assistance from QEII Arts Council, Jeff exhibited with fellow artists Michael Cubey, Shane Wallace,Catherine Bagnall & Tony Davy at 1-9 Bowen Street, Wellington.

After exhibiting frequently throughout New Zealand in the 80s and 90s, and in keeping with his artistic inclination towards construction and materials, Brown now co-directs Workshop E, specialising in the construction and delivery of exhibitions and visitor attractions for museums and galleries including Te Kōngahu | Waitangi Museum & Te Ray Aroha | 28th Maori Battalion Museum.

He currently lives with his partner Az James in Whangarei, Northland.
